Remote Location

Carsten Pieper Without knowing, I bought two albums featuring the same sax player (Óskar Gudjónsson), whom I didn't know before, at the same day, amazing!
Colourful, subtle drumming by bandleader Scott McLemore, an American relocated to Iceland. The album definetely comes with a "nordic flavour". Nice playing the other band members, too! Favorite track: Remote Location.

Alan Hall Amazingly smooth atmospheric album in the ECM style. The more you listen, the better it gets. All good! Favorite track: Remote Location.
Artemis Robison

Artemis Robison For me, the track 'Citizen Sitting Zen' paints a picture of a family of hibernating bears all snuggled up for a warm winter's nap...til the end, where they're all roly-poly tumbling about in a field of spring flowers. But hey, that's just me. Favorite track: Citizen Sitting Zen.

about

It's an album about fond memories and fast friends, homesickness and new beginnings, musical heros and cooking. It's a collection of songs that each have a unique significance to me, and I was lucky enough to find four musicians who could interpret them with equal uniqueness.

An American drummer living in Iceland trying not to disturb the huldufólk. He has been writing his own music since he quit piano lessons as a kid, and he almost has it figured out.
